Pan-fried guavas with vanilla ice cream

    ripe guavas
  • 30
    ml
    lemon juice
  • 60
    ml
    butter
  • 45
    ml
    brown sugar
  • vanilla ice cream
 

Method

 
Wash guavas well, then halve lengthways. Place lemon juice, butter and brown sugar in a saucepan and melt gently over low heat. Add guava halves and fry for 5 minutes on each side, or until lightly glazed. Serve hot with ice cream.
