    rindless streaky bacon, chopped

  • black pepper to taste

    Tabasco sauce

    butter, melted

    buttermilk
 

Method

Grease and line two medium-sized loaf tins. Sieve together the dry ingredients. Add the remaining ingredients, leaving the buttermilk until last. Mix in the buttermilk to form a firm dough.

Divide the dough between the loaf tins and bake in a preheated oven until a skewer inserted comes out clean. Remove from the tins and allow to cool. Store the bread in an airtight container.
