Oyster sauce beef balls

Ingredients (13)

600 g beef — lean
65 ml spring onions — finely chopped
10 ml garlic — cloves, chopped
10 ml fresh ginger — finely grated
10 ml Chinese five-spice powder
10 ml soy sauce — thick
15 ml sunflower oil
sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
oil — for frying
1 onion — sliced in half moons
1/2 pineapple — medium chunks
500 g stir-fry vegetables — frozen or fresh
150 - 200 ml oyster sauce

Method:

Mix together the
mince, spring onion, garlic, ginger, 5-spice, soy sauce and 15 ml
sunflower oil.
Season to taste and form into walnut-sized balls.
Heat a little oil in a pan and lightly fry the balls in batches just until lightly browned.
Remove from pan and set aside.
Heat some fresh
oil in a wok until smoking hot and add the onion and pineapple.
Toss
until glossy then add the stir-fry vegetable mix.
Toss until piping hot.

Add the meatballs and oyster sauce and cook a further minute, tossing
gently.
Remove from heat and serve with buttered noodles or rice.
