Ingredients

  • 270

    cake flour
  • 10
    ml
    baking powder
  • 210
    g
    sugar
  • 110
    g
    butter
  • 2
    large eggs
  • 125
    ml
    fresh orange juice
  • 5
    ml
    orange zest
  • ICING
  • 100
    g
    dark chocolate
  • candied orange slices to garnish
 

Method

Beat all the cake ingredients together until smooth.
Pour into a greased and lined loaf tin.
Bake in a preheated 180 °C oven for 40 minutes or until a skewer inserted comes out clean.
Invert and cool before icing.
Break the chocolate into pieces.
Heat in a microwave-safe bowl in the microwave until melted.
Spread over the cake and garnish with candied orange slices, if desired.
