Orange chicken curry

    chicken portions
  • 30
    ml
    sunflower oil
  • 325
    ml
    orange juice
  • 15
    ml
    curry powder
  • 125
    ml
    chutney
  • 5
    ml
    ground cinnamon
  • 5
    ml
    turmeric
  • 65
    ml
    sultanas
 

Method

1 hour 40 minutes
 
Season chicken pieces with salt and freshly ground blck pepper.
Heat oil in a frying pan and brown the chicken, then transfer to a greased ovenproof dish.
Mix together the remaining ingredients and pour over the chicken.
Cover and bake in a preheated oven for 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until chicken is tender.
Remove the cover 10 minutes before the end of the cooking time.
Garnish with orange zest and serve with rice and a salad or vegetables.
