Ingredients (8)

1.00 kg vegetables — frozen
1.00 apples — green, cored and thinly sliced
1.00 cucumber — English, sliced
250.00 g ham — diced
250.00 ml french salad dressing
salt and freshly ground black pepper
4.00 bread — white slices, cubed

Method:

Place the frozen vegetables in a glass bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Pierce a few holes in the plastic and microwave the frozen vegetables on 100 per cent power until cooked but still crisp. Alternatively, cook the frozen vegetables in a little water on the stove. Mix the vegetables with the apple, cucumber and ham. Add the salad dressing, cover partially with plastic wrap and chill thoroughly. Season well with salt and black pepper. Meanwhile, fry the bread cubes in a little oil until brown and crisp. Drain on paper towelling. Serve cold with fresh bread or in pita bread.
Serves 4-6.
