Olive loaves

Ingredients

    g
    self-raising flour
  • 2
    ml
    salt
  • 10
    ml
    sugar
  • 10
    g
    yeast
  • 125
    ml
    oil
  • 750
    ml
    lukewarm water
  • 500
    ml
    olives, pitted and chopped
  • 15
    ml
    fresh dill, chopped
  • 15
    ml
    fresh mint, chopped
 

Method

about 35 minutes
 
Preheat oven to 190 °C.
Mix flour, salt, sugar and yeast together.
Rub oil into mixture.
Add water and mix to form a soft dough.
Mix olives, dill and mint into dough.
Knead for five minutes.
Three-quarters fill six to eight empty olive cans that have been cleaned and lined with wax paper.
Leave to rise until double in size.
Bake for 35 minutes or until done.
