Oaty apple crumble

Apple crumble with oats and served with whipped cream.

Ingredients

 
  • 2
    can
    pie apples
  • 1/4
    cup
    apricot jam
  • 2
    Tbs
    apple juice
  • TOPPING:
  • 1/2
    cup
    rolled oats
  • 1/2
    cup
    wholewheat flour
  • 1/2
    cup
    muscovado sugar
  • 1/2
    cup
    butter, cut into pieces + extra for dotting
  • TO SERVE:
  • whipped cream

Method

 
Drain the apples and mix with the apricot jam and apple juice.

Arrange in a greased baking dish or four cups.

Mix the oats, flour and sugar and rub in the butter using your fingertips.

Top the apples with the oat mixture, dot with butter and bake at 200ºC until golden. Serve warm with whipped cream.
