Oats and seed biscuits

    syrup

    bicarbonate of soda
  • 15

    boiling water
  • 110

    oats
  • 110
    g
    white bread flour
  • 80
    g
    coconut
  • 110
    g
    castor sugar
  • 10
    ml
    each of poppy seeds, sesame seeds and sunflower seeds
 

Method

15‑20 minutes
 
Melt butter and syrup over low heat. Stir bicarbonate of soda into the boiling water, then stir into the butter mixture. Stir in remaining ingredients until well combined. Drop spoonfuls of mixture onto greased baking trays, allowing space for spreading. Bake in preheated 160 °C oven for 15-20 minutes until golden. Allow to cool for two minutes, then remove from the baking trays and cool completely on baking rack.
