Oat squares

  • 2
    large eggs
  • 320
    ml
    honey
  • 320
    ml
    sunflower oil
  • 5
    ml
    vanilla essence
  • 3
    ml
    bicarbonate of soda
  • 1
    Litres
    oats
  • 250
    ml
    sorghum flour (Maltabella)
  • pinch salt
 

Method

 
Preheat oven to 180 °C and grease a square cake tin.
Beat the eggs, honey, oil and vanilla essence together.
Add the bicarbonate of soda and beat until well blended.
Stir in the dry ingredients and press the mixture into the bottom of the cake tin.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until done.
Leave to cool slightly in the tin before cutting into squares and placing on a wire rack to cool completely.
Store in an airtight container.
Makes 20 to 24 squares.
