Nougat ice cream with cherries

Time 10 minutes, plus freezing and marinating time

Ingredients

  • 1
    Litres
    vanilla ice cream
  • 1
    medium bar nougat
  • 100
    g
    fresh (or canned) cherries
  • 60
    ml
    white rum (optional)
  • 40
    ml
    castor sugar
 

Method

 
Allow ice cream to soften slightly. Stir in nougat. Return to freezer and freeze until hard.
Pour rum over cherries. Stir in castor sugar. Marinate for at least one hour.
Serve ice cream topped with marinated cherries.
