Ingredients (10)

100.00 g butter — unsalted
190.00 g flour
0.00 salt — just a pinch
1.00 eggs — yolks only, beaten with water
4.00 apples — red
215.00 ml castor sugar
5.00 ml cinnamon — ground
1.00 eggs
100.00 ml cream
30.00 ml brandy

Method:

Mix the butter and the flour with an electric mixmaster until it looks like breadcrumbs.

Add the salt and castor sugar and then the egg mixture.

Cover with plastic and put in the fridge for an hour.

Roll the dough out onto a flat,flour-covered surface.

Bake circles out of the dough a bit bigger than the tart cups and then take the tart cups out.

Spray the dough tart cups with Spray and Cook and coat with melted butter.

Put waxpaper on top of the dough and bake for 12 minutes at 200 degrees c.

Peel and cut the appels.

Mix the castor sugar and cinnamon and pour over the apples and mix together well.

Fill the tart cups with apple mixture well.

Bake for 20 minutes at 180 degrees c.

In the meanwhile prepare the mixture that will cover the tarts.

Beat together the egg and castor sugar until light.

Add the flour in and then the cream and brandy and beat well.

Place the tarts on a baking tray and then cover with the mixture and bake for 10 minutes at 180 degrees c.

Take out of the oven and sprinkle 15 ml castor sugar over the tarts and then place in the oven for another 20 minutes.
