  • 500
    ml
    warm water
  • 250
    ml
    plain yoghurt
  • 45
    ml
    oil
  • 15
    ml
    salt
  • 15
    ml
    sugar
  • 10
    g
    instant yeast
  • chopped fresh herbs
  • 1
    kg
    white bread flour (more or less)
 

Method

 
1. Place first 7 ingredients into mixing bowl (make sure mixture is warm). 2. Add flour bit by bit using the dough hook to combine. Add enough flour until dough doesn't stick to sides of bowl, loses its stickiness and becomes elastic. This takes about 5 minutes. 3. Place dough in lightly oiled bowl and set aside in a warm place until double in size. 4. Knock dough down again and put into a 4 litre ovenproof dish. Slash top of bread with a sharp knife and brush top with a little melted butter. 5. Let dough double in size again, then bake at 180 ºC for 45 to 60 minutes or until the loaf sounds hollow when tapped.
