    peach slices, drained

    pineapple pieces, drained

    orange or naartjie, divided into segments

    medium bananas, sliced

    nutmeg
 

Method

 
Preheat the oven to 180 ºC and butter a medium-sized ovenproof dish. Melt the butter and add the sugar and mustard. Stir until the sugar has melted, bring to the boil and simmer for 1 minute, stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat and add the fruit. Spoon into the ovenproof dish, sprinkle with the nutmeg and bake for 20 minutes or until the fruit is warmed through. Serve lukewarm. Makes about 1 litre (4 cups).
