Muesli with fruit and yoghurt

  • 250

    sunflower seeds
  • 250
    ml
    sesame seeds
  • 250
    ml
    chopped almonds or other nuts
  • 250
    ml
    coconut
  • 250
    ml
    digestive bran
  • 2
    ml
    salt
  • 250
    ml
    oil
  • 250
    ml
    hot water
  • 200
    ml
    honey
  • 5
    ml
    vanilla essence
  • 250
    ml
    seedless raisins
 

Method

 
Preheat the oven to 140 °C. Mix the dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Mix the oil, water, honey and vanilla essence and add to he dry ingredients. Mix well and spoon onto two baking sheets, spreading evenly. Bake for about 1 1/2 hours until pale brown. (Stir occasionally and check frequently that the mixture doesn't burn.) Allow to cool completely, turn into a mixing bowl and add the raisins. Mix and store in an airtight container. Serve with yoghurt and stewed fruit or fresh fruit salad.
