    sugar
  • 150
    ml
    water
  • 30
    ml
    extra-strong black coffee
  • 30
    ml
    coffee liqueur
  • 1
    packet
    mini Swiss rolls, halved
  • 250
    ml
    cream, stiffly whipped
  • 30
    ml
    cocoa powder for dusting
 

Method

Heat the sugar and water over low heat, stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Add the black coffee and coffee liqueur and bring to the boil. Simmer for 7 minutes then remove from the heat. Dip the Swiss roll halves in the coffee syrup and arrange them on a plate, syrupy sides up. Spoon the whipped cream on top and dust with cocoa powder.
