Ingredients (10)

4.00 bread — white roll
1.00 onion — finely chopped
1.00 garlic — cloves, finely crushed
oil
2.00 tomatoes — peeled and diced
salt and freshly ground black pepper — to taste
8.00 salami — slices
8.00 button mushrooms — sliced
100.00 g cheddar cheese — diced
fresh thyme — and oregano

Method:

Cut the bread rolls in half and arrange on a baking sheet. Toast lightly under the oven grill. Sauté the onion and garlic in a little heated oil until soft. Add the tomatoes and simmer to form a purée. Season to taste with salt and black pepper. Spoon a little of the tomato purée on each bread roll and arrange the salami, mushrooms and Cheddar cheese on top. Sprinkle with a little thyme and origanum. Place the rolls under the grill once more and grill until the cheese has melted. Serve immediately.
Makes 8 bunnizzas.
