Mince pie with scone topping

    quantity basic tomato and mince mixture
  • SCONE TOPPING

    cake flour
  • 10
    ml
    baking powder
  • 5
    ml
    salt
  • 80
    ml
    oil
  • 1
    egg, beaten
  • 80
    ml
    milk
 

Method

+/- 30 min
 
Preheat the oven to 220 ºC. Spray a medium-sized dish with non-stick spray or grease with margarine. Prepare the basic tomato and mince mixture as described and spoon into the dish. Sift the dry ingredients together. Beat the oil, egg and milk together and add to the flour mixture, stirring until just blended, (it makes a stiff dough). Drop spoonfuls of the dough on top of the mince mixture and bake for about 30 minutes or until done. Serves 4-6.
