Mince kebabs

  • 500
    lean beef mince
  • 2
    onions, grated
  • salt and black pepper
  • 5
    ground cinnamon
  • 5
    ground cumin
  • 5
    ground coriander
  • 10
    chopped fresh mint


15-20 minutes
1. Combine all the ingredients and work by hand until the mixture becomes very smooth. It should not be at all granular. 2. Take balls of the mixture and pat them into sausage shapes around skewers. If possible, use 4-sided metal skewers. 3. Grill over coals or under the grill. To grill, rest the ends of the skewers over the edge of a roasting pan so that the meat does not lie in the pan. Cook, turning the skewers until the mince is brown on all sides. 4. Serve with warm pitta breads or rice and a salad.
