Ingredients (10)

2 onion — finely chopped
3 garlic — large cloves, crushed
oil
1 kg beef mince — lean
sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
fresh parsley — chopped
410 g baked beans in tomato sauce
2 potatoes — peeled and sliced
1 butternut — sliced
250 ml peas — frozen

Method:

Preheat the oven to 180 ºC (350 ° F). Brush a large cast-iron pot with oil.
Fry the onion and garlic in a little oil until soft. Add the mince and fry until brown, stirring with a fork all the time. Season with salt and pepper and parsley. Turn the mixture into the prepared pot.
Spoon the baked beans in tomato sauce on top and mix lightly with the meat. Top with the potato and butternut slices. Pour boiling water over the peas, leave for 5 minutes and drain. Sprinkle on top of the potato and butternut slices, cover the dish with aluminium foil and bake for 1 hour or until the vegetables are tender.
Serve immediately with a green salad.
