Mexican beans

  • 420
    g
    red kidney beans (do not drain)
  • 1
    large onion, finely chapped
  • 1
    large clove garlic, crushed
  • 5
    ml
    chilli powder
  • 5
    ml
    ground jeera
  • 30
    ml
    fresh coriander (dhania), chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste
 

Method

 
Blend all the ingredients except the coriander leaves and heat slowly until warmed through. Remove from the heat. Mash lightly with a potato masher. Sprinkle with coriander leaves and serve. Serves 10 as a side dish.
