Meaty sauce

    oil
  • 2
    onions
  • 2
    cloves
    garlic
  • 400
    g
    lean beef mince
  • 410
    g
    tomato purée
  • 2
    sprig
    rosemary
  • 100
    ml
    red wine (or beef stock)
  • 150
    ml
    mature Cheddar
 

Method

30 minutes
 
Heat oil and sauté; onion and garlic until soft.
Add mince and stir over high heat until browned.
Add tomato puré;e, rosemary and season to taste, then let the sauce simmer gently in the uncovered pot for 15 minutes.
Combine with cooked fusilli pasta and sprinkle with cheese.
