Meatballs in sour cream sauce

    slices white bread, soaked in water

    pepper

    basil

    potato, grated
  • 1
    large onion, finely chopped
  • 1
    large clove garlic, crushed
  • SOUR CREAM SAUCE
  • 1
    onion, finely chopped
  • oil
  • 100
    ml
    dry white wine
  • 250
    ml
    sour cream
  • salt and black pepper
 

Method

Preheat the oven to 160 ºC (325ºF). Spray an oven pan with non-stick spray. Lightly mix all the ingredients for the meatballs in a mixing bowl. Shape into small balls and arrange in the prepared oven pan. Cover with aluminium foil and bake for 30 minutes or until done. Remove the covering before the end of the cooking time so the meatballs can brown. Sauté the onion in a little oil until soft. Add white wine and simmer rapidly for 5 minutes. Reduce heat and add the sour cream. Simmer slowly until the sauce has thickened slightly. Season and serve with the meatballs. Serves 6.
