Meatball kebabs

    onion, finely chopped

    clove garlc, crushed
  • oil

    lean mince
  • 25

    parsley
  • Worcestershire sauce to taste
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 250
    g
    streaky bacon
  • prepared mustard
  • 12
    kebab skewers, soaked
 

Method

 
Sauté the onion and garlic in a little oil until soft and cool thoroughly before adding to the mince. Add the parsley and Worcestershire sauce and season to taste with salt and pepper. Mix well and shape into walnut-sized balls. Cut the bacon rashers in half and spread with mustard. Wrap each meatball in a rasher of bacon. Thread four meatballs onto each skewer. Repeat until all the ingredients have been used. Cook the kebabs over a medium-hot coals until brown on the outside and cooked inside, or cook in a griddle pan, but do not add any oil. Alternatively, the meatballs can be baked in the oven at 160 ºC (325 ºF).
