Ingredients (13)

50.00 ml fresh parsley — chopped
1.00 kg beef mince — lean
5.00 ml salt
2.00 ml black pepper — freshly ground
2.00 ml nutmeg — ground
1.00 onion — small, chopped
50.00 g breadcrumbs — fresh, brown
1.00 eggs — beaten
125.00 ml tomato purée
5.00 ml microwave browning (optional)
TOPPING
60.00 ml tomato sauce
5.00 ml mustard — powder
13.00 ml brown sugar

Method:

Grease a 21 x 11 cm microwave oven loaf container. Mix all ingredients for meat filling in a mixing bowl. Spoon into the loaf tin and spread evenly. Mix all topping ingredients and spread over meat. Microwave for 20-22 minutes on 70 per cent power. Allow to stand for about five minutes before turning it out. Serve hot.
Makes about 12-15 slices.
Tested in a 600 W oven.
