    slices bread (crusts removed), soaked in
  • 65

    milk
  • 1
    kg
    chicken or mutton mince (or a mixture of both)
  • 10

    spice for steak and chops
  • 5

    black pepper
  • 10

    salt
  • 10
    ml
    crushed garlic
  • 5
    ml
    green chillies, finely chopped
  • 5
    ml
    oil
  • 1
    large egg
  • 1
    medium onion, grated
  • 125
    ml
    frozen mixed vegetables
  • SAUCE
  • 45
    ml
    oil
  • 30
    ml
    Worcestershire sauce
  • 60
    ml
    tomato sauce
  • 5
    ml
    crushed garlic
 

Method

Squeeze the excess milk from the bread and mash with a fork.
Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
Divide the mixture into four portions.
Roll each portion into a log shape.
Wrap each log in a piece of greased aluminium foil and steam for 30 minutes.
Unwrap each meat roll and arrange on a serving platter.
To make the sauce, place all the ingredients in a saucepan and simmer over a low heat for five minutes.
Drizzle the meat rolls with the sauce and serve hot with chips and vegetables (or cold, sliced with chutney).
