Mealie meal custard with chocolate sauce

    cream

    ml
    cinnamon
  • 65
    ml
    sugar
  • 2
    ml
    vanilla essence
  • 375
    ml
    mealie meal
  • 250
    ml
    milk
  • prunes
  • 200
    g
    dark chocolate
  • 200
    ml
    cream
 

Method

 
Heat cream with cinnamon, sugar and vanilla essence. Mix mealie meal with milk and add to warm cream. Cook until thick. Place de-pipped prunes on base of mould, pour mealie meal on top. Cool to set. Mix chocolate and cream, melt in a double boiler. Turn out mould onto a serving plate, pour chocolate sauce over just before serving.
