Masala stuffed fish

Ingredients

  • MARINADE
  • 60
    ml
    natural yoghurt
  • 3
    cloves garlic
  • 45
    ml
    lemon juice
  • 3
    ml
    ground turmeric
  • 3
    ml
    ground cumin
  • 5
    ml
    fish masala
  • 20
    ml
    freshly chopped mint
  • 20
    ml
    freshly chopped coriander
  • 30
    ml
    sunflower oil
  • 1
    whole fish, cleaned and scaled
  • STUFFING
  • 250
    ml
    shredded spinach
  • 10
    ml
    grated lemon rind
  • 4
    bunches spring onions, sliced
  • 50
    g
    fresh button mushrooms, sliced
 

Method

20-30 minutes
 
1. Mix together all the marinade ingredients. Brush to coat the inside and outside of the fish. 2. Mix together stuffing ingredients and spoon into the fish. Place fish into a fish grill or seal using toothpicks. 3. Grill over medium-hot coals for 10 to 15 minutes on each side, depending on the size of the fish.
