Marinated sesame chicken

    Chinese noodles, linguine, or tagliarini
  • sesame seeds
  • MARINADE

    cloves garlic, crushed

    dry sherry or rice vinegar

    brown sugar

    peanut butter

    soy sauce

    orange, juice
  • STIR-FRY

    sesame oil

    sunflower oil

    green beans, topped, tailed and halved diagonally
  • sesame seeds for sprinkling
 

Method

 
Bring stock to boil, reduce heat to a simmer and cook chicken breasts for about 6 minutes, until just cooked through. Remove from stock. Slice chicken into strips. MARINADE: Blend ingredients and pour over chicken. Marinate for at least 30 minutes. STIR-FRY: Heat oils in a large pan or wok. Shake excess marinade off chicken and reserve. Stir-fry chicken for about 30 seconds. Add beans and cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Chicken should be moist and beans until bright green and crunchy. Cook pasta, rinse and drain. Return to heat and pour over remaining marinade. Toss to coat. Place in a warmed serving dish, top with chicken and sprinkle with sesame seeds. TOTAL KILOJOULE COUNT: 12 810 kJ (3 060 Cal). A portion: 2 565 kJ (610 Cal).
