    extra-large eggs
  • 175
    g
    softened butter
  • 250
    ml
    sugar
  • 315
    ml
    self-raising flour
  • 2
    ml
    baking powder
  • 15
    ml
    cocoa
  • 15
    ml
    milk
 

Method

 
Preheat the oven to 180 ºC and grease a medium-sized loaf pan with margarine or spray with non-stick spray. Place all the ingredients, except the cocoa and milk, in a food processor and process until smooth. Turn half the mixture into the loaf pan. Add the cocoa and milk to the rest of the batter and mix well. Drop spoonfuls of the chocolate batter onto the batter in the pan and draw a knife through the two batters to create a marbled effect. Bake for 45 to 55 minutes until the cake is done (a skewer inserted comes out clean) and firm to the touch. Allow to cool in the pan, turn out and dust with icing sugar just before serving. Serve with coffee. Makes a medium-sized cake.
