Maltabella crumpets

  • 500
    ml
    uncooked Maltabella
  • 10
    ml
    bicarbonate of soda
  • pinch salt
  • 10
    ml
    molasses
  • 20
    ml
    melted butter
  • 375
    ml
    plain yoghurt or maas
 

Method

 
Combine the dry ingredients. Mix the molasses, butter and yoghurt together and mix with the dry ingredients. Heat a little oil in a heavy-based pan, then wipe the pan with a paper towel. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture in the pan and heat until bubbles form on the surface. Turn and heat until cooked on the other side. Makes about 20 crumpets.
