Malay seafood curry

    sunflower oil
  • 10
    ml
    mild curry powder
  • 600
    g
    frozen seafood mix
  • 100
    g
    frozen crabsticks, cut into pieces
  • 12
    fresh cooked mussels
  • 800
    g
    (2 x 400 g cans) Indian-style chopped tomatoes
  • 25
    ml
    sugar
 

Method

 
Heat the oil in a saucepan and fry the curry powder until fragrant.
Add the remaining ingredients, mix, reduce the heat, cover and simmer for about 10 minutes or until fragrant.
Serve with basmati rice, coconut, chutney, bana, plain yoghurt mixed with a little grated cucumber and poppadoms.
