Makhowa on Uphuthu (Makhowa stew)

    oil
  • 1
    onion, chopped
  • 1
    clove garlic, crushed
  • 100

    each portabellini, oyster and button mushrooms,sliced
  • 15
    ml
    chopped fresh coriander
  • 125
    ml
    cream
  • 65
    ml
    beef stock
  • salt and pepper to taste
 

Method

 

Heat oil and lightly sauté onion and garlic.
Add mushroom and coriander, cook for five minutes.
Add cream and stock, season and cook for a further two minutes.
Serve over Uphuthu.
