Madagascan green pepper sauce

Ingredients

  • 300
    ml
    instant meat gravy powder
  • 1
    sprig of thyme
  • 1
    bay leaf
  • 1
    bottle of Madagascan green peppercorns
  • 1/2
    bottle of red wine
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • 250ml
    cream
  • 1
    tsp
    brown sugar
 

Method

20 mins
 
1. Prepare meat gravy according to instructions on label and set aside.
2. Place all remaining ingredients in a saucepan. Heat to boiling point, then reduce heat and simmer until liquid is reduced by half.
3. Strain the liquid into the hot gravy.
Serve with grilled steak or chops.
