Luxury mashed potatoes

Ingredients

  • 1
    kg
    mashing potatoes, peeled and halved
  • 125
    g
    butter
  • 200
    ml
    fresh cream
  • 2
    ml
    freshly grated nutmeg
 

Method

20 min
 
Boil potatoes in salted water for 20 minutes until tender, then drain. Mash with a potato masher before pressing through a sieve. Add butter, cream and nutmeg to the potatoes while still warm, season to taste and whip until light and fluffy. Serves 8.
