Ingredients (9)

1.00 bread — French loaf
2.00 onions — medium, finely chopped
6.00 garlic — cloves, crushed
0.00 red pepper — diced
0.00 yellow pepper — cubed
250.00 g bacon — cut into pieces
10.00 ml fresh chillies — 573
4.00 feta cheese — diced
sea salt and freshly ground black pepper

Method:

Slice the bread as you would for ordinary garlic bread, not cutting the slices all the way through.
Fry the onion, garlic and peppers in heated oil until tender. Add the bacon and fry until done. Add the feta cheese and mix. Season.
Spoon the filling between the slices of bread and wrap the loaf in aluminium foil.
Heat over the coals or in a medium-hot oven and serve hot.
Makes 1 loaf.
Serves 4.
