Low-fat tagliatelle carbonara

    tagliatelle
  • 100
    g
    lean back bacon rashers, cut into strips
  • 250
    g
    mushrooms, halved
  • 200
    g
    low-fat cream cheese
  • 30
    ml
    fresh parsley, roughly chopped
  • 15
    ml
    lemon juice
 

Method

Cook the pasta according to the packet instructions.
Meanwhile, sauté the bacon in its own fat in a large frying pan.
Drain off excess fat, add the mushrooms and cook for five minutes, until tender.
Add the cream cheese and heat until the cheese has melted and the sauce is heated through.
Stir in parsley and lemon juice, and season with freshly ground black pepper.
Drain pasta, return to the saucepan and stir in the sauce.
Serve immediately.
