Lindt dark chocolate coffee brownies

Ingredients (16)

Brownies:
700 ml flour — cake
200 ml cocoa powder
5 ml salt
7.5 ml Bicarbonate of soda
300 ml mayonnaise
400 ml water
5 ml vanilla — essence
1 coffee
1 cup chocolate — chips
50 g hazelnuts — skinned, roasted, chopped
Sauce:
500 ml water
1 cup icing sugar
1 tsp cocoa powder
1 tsp instant coffee
4 dark chocolate — Lindt 80%
4 dark chocolate — LIndt coffee intense

Method:

The brownies:
Combine the mayo and water.
Whisk in the sugar, cocoa, essence and coffee.
Sift in the flour and bicarb.
Lastly fold in the chocolate chips.
Spoon into a rectangular baking dish and bake at 180 for 30 min or until a skewer inserted into the cake comes out clean.
Pour the chocolate sauce over immediately after removing from the oven.


The chocolate sauce:
Mix everything together and boil until slightly thickened.
Pour over the cake but reserve about ¼ cup for drizzling over when serving.
Allow the sauce to saturate the cake well before serving.
When cool cut into blocks
Serve with ice cream or whipped cream or even just as it is dusted with a little cocoa powder.
