Ingredients (11)

1 box red velvet cake mix
315 ml water
80 ml oil
3 eggs — large
250 ml sour cream — or plain yoghurt
1 oreo — packet, cookies
1 cream cheese — tub
125 g butter
375 ml sugar
80 ml evaporated milk
1/2 chocolate chips

Method:

Preheat oven to 180° C.
Grease and line2 X 22cm cake tins.

For the cake: Make
cake as per the instructions on the pack: Blend together cake mix, water, oil
and eggs.

Beat at low speed for 30
seconds.

Spoon mixture into
prepared cake tins. Bake for 30 to35 minutes or until a skewer inserted comes
out clean.

Remove the cake from
oven and cool on a wire rack.

For the filling: Crush
Oreos in a food processor, set aside 3 cookies for topping, and stir in cream
cheese until fully blended.

Spread Oreo filling
between the cake layers and stack.

For the drizzle: In
a saucepan over medium heat, melt together butter, sugar and evaporated milk.

Bring to a boil for 1
minute and stir in chocolate chips.

Remove from heat and
pour over cake.

Decorate the cake with chocolate
chips and Oreo cookies!
