Ingredients (9)

250 g butter — melted
15 ml vanilla — essence
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 1/2 cup cake flour
5 ml Bicarbonate of soda
5 ml salt
250 g chocolate — chips or chopped

Method:

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line 2 large baking sheets with
baking paper and grease with nonstick spray.

1. Put the butter, vanilla essence, eggs and sugar in a
mixing bowl and beat with an electric beater until combined. Add the flour,
bicarbonate of soda, salt and chocolate and mix until a soft dough forms.

2. Roll the dough into a ball and chill in the fridge for at
least 30 minutes.

3. Roll into walnut-size balls and arrange on the prepared
baking sheets.

4. Dip a fork in flour, then use it to flatten the cookies
(dip the fork in flour again when it become too sticky to work with).

5. Bake for 7-10 minutes or until golden brown on the bottom.
Remove from the oven and leave on the sheets to cool for 15 minutes. Transfer
to a wire rack to cool completely. Store in an airtight container.
