Lamsribbetjie with braai sauce

    lamsribbetjie (lamb's rib)
  • BRAAI SAUCE
  • 30
    ml
    soy sauce
  • 30
    ml
    honey
  • 100
    ml
    dry white wine or vinegar
  • 5
    ml
    Worcestershire sauce
  • 5
    ml
    mustard powder
  • 5
    ml
    tomato paste
  • 5
    ml
    lemon juice
 

Method

 
Ask your butcher to cut the meat into portions at 20 mm intervals, but not to cut the meat all the way through. This makes it easier to serve once it's done. Mix all the ingredients for the sauce and marinate the rib for 4 hours. Grill the meat for about 30 minutes over medium coals and baste frequently with the sauce during the last 10 minutes of the cooking time. Serve with lemon juice. Serves 4.
