Lamb frikadelles on sticks

Ingredients

  • 800
    g
    minced lamb
  • 1
    large onion, finely chopped
  • 10
    ml
    green masala
  • 10
    ml
    crushed garlic
  • 5
    ml
    crushed fresh ginger
  • 20
    ml
    ground cumin (jeera)
  • 10
    ml
    ground turmeric
  • 10
    ml
    ground coriander seeds
  • 10
    ml
    Cajun spice
  • 30
    ml
    chopped fresh parsley or coriander leaves
  • Salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 6 - 8
    skewer sticks
 

Method

10 mins
 
Place some sosatie sticks into water (6-8 sticks).
Mix all the ingredients together.
Form into equal sized balls and thread onto sosatie sticks, three onto one stick.
Place in the refrigerator and cool for 30 minutes.
In the mean time make a fire, when the fire is ready, braai the meat over hot coals for 5 minutes, turn over and braai on the other side for 5 minutes.
Serve with yellow rice, chutney and other relishes!
