Lamb chops in red wine and garlic sauce

    fresh origanum, finely chopped

    balsamic vinegar

    lamb loin chops
  • 30

    honey
 

Method

 
To make a marinade, mix the red wine, olive oil, origanum, garlic, balsamic vinegar and salt and pepper in a glass bowl. Arrange the lamb chops in a single layer in a large oven dish and pour over the marinade. Turn the chops, ensuring they are well coated with the marinade. Cover with plastic wrap and chill for at least 2 hours. Turn the chops frequently while marinating. Heat the oven grill until very hot. Remove the chops from the marinade and set aside. Add the honey to the marinade. Grill the chops until done, basting frequently with the marinade. Reduce the remaining marinade and serve with the lamb chops and mashed potatoes. Serves 6-8.
