    cornflour

    mayonnaise

    lemon juice
  • 10

    fish spice
  • 1

    black pepper

    kingklip fillets, cubed
  • 200
    g
    flour
  • 2
    ml
    dried crushed chillies
  • 50
    ml
    sunflower oil
  • BUTTER SAUCE
  • 125
    ml
    lemon juice
  • 60
    g
    butter, cubed
  • almonds, to garnish
 

Method

Mix together the cornflour, mayonnaise, lemon juice, fish spice and black pepper.
Pour over the fish and allow to marinate in the fridge for about five hours.
In a separate bowl, mix together the flour and chillies.
Coat the fish in the flour mixture.
Heat the oil and fry the fish until golden brown on both sides.
Place the fish fillets in an ovenproof dish.
To make the butter sauce, heat the lemon juice and butter together.
Pour over the fish and sprinkle with almonds.
Bake in a preheated 180 °C oven for 10 minutes, then serve immediately with chips or pasta.
