Kidneys in puff pastry

  • 10
    sheep's kidneys, membranes and cores removed
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 400
    g
    puff pastry
 

Method

 
Preheat the oven to 200 ºC (400 ºF). Cut the kidneys in half and season to taste with salt and pepper. Roll the puff pastry out thinly and cut into squares, each about twice the size of a kidney. Place a kidney on each puff pastry square and wrap it in the pastry. Arrange on a baking sheet and bake until the pastry is golden brown.
