Kassler, bean and chorizo

    kassler steaks
  • 1
    chorizo sausage
  • 1
    tin butter beans
  • 1
    tin kidney beans
  • 1
    tin chickpeas
  • 2
    tins whole peeled tomatoes
  • 500
    ml
    red wine
  • 2
    tsp
    garam marsala
  • 5
    cloves garlic
  • 1
    onion
  • 2
    sprigs of rosemary
  • 1
    tsp
    paprika
  • 200ml
    chicken stock
  • Seasoning
 

Method

40 mins
 
Cut the kassler into small pieces and slice the sausage.
Slice the onion and sauté. Add the garlic (crushed) when it is soft.
Add the spices, rosemary, the sausage and the kassler and cook for 5 minutes.
Add the tomato, stock and the wine and bring to the boil, turning it down to a simmer.
Cook for 30 mins.
Add the beans and warm through. Season and let it stand for 10 minutes before serving.
Serve in a bowl with ciabatta slices to scoop.
