Pour enough water over the onion to cover.
Leave to stand for 10 minutes, then drain.
Heat the 15 ml oil in a saucepan and stir-fry the cumin seeds, cardamom, garlic and ginger for 1 minute.
Add the meat strips and stir-fry to brown.
Add the chilli powder, curry powder, coriander and salt and cook for 5 minutes.
Add the sour milk, cover and simmer for 20-30 minutes.
Deep-fry the potato matchsticks in hot oil until golden brown and crisp.
Cook the spaghetti according to the packet instructions.
Serve as follows: Spoon the spaghetti onto plates.
Spoon the meat on top followed by the grated egg and fried potato match-sticks and finally the onion rings.
Drizzle about 20 ml coconut milk over each serving.
