Ingredients (15)

1.00 onion — finely chopped
oil
1.00 ml allspice
1.00 ml nutmeg — ground
2.00 ml fresh parsley — chopped
5.00 ml salt
5.00 ml curry powder — mild
7.00 ml masala
5.00 ml vinegar — white
1.00 tomatoes — peeled and finely chopped
1.00 green pepper — deseeded and diced
425.00 g pilchards in tomato — drained
200.00 ml bran
150.00 ml cheddar cheese — grated
4.00 eggs — extra large, whisked

Method:

Spray an ovenproof dish with non-stick spray or grease well.
Fry the onion in a little oil until tender and translucent. Add the allspice, nutmeg, parsley and salt. Blend the curry powder and masala with the vinegar. Add to the onion mixture.
Add the tomato and green pepper. Reduce the heat and simmer for a few minutes. Add the flaked fish. Mix in the bran and a little of the cheese. Mix in the whisked eggs. Pour into the prepared dish.
Sprinkle with the remaining cheese and bake for about 30-40 minutes or until the filling has set and is firm.
Serves 4.
