Ingredients (11)

300.00 g mince
1.00 onion — chopped
oil
60.00 ml chilli sauce — mild
30.00 ml water
30.00 ml fresh basil — chopped
salt and freshly ground black pepper
1.00 garlic — cloves, crushed
4.00 bread — large slices, Italian or rye
60.00 g mozzarella cheese — or cheddar cheese, grated
2.00 tomatoes

Method:

Heat oil and brown mince, onion and garlic.
Add chilli sauce, water, herbs and seasoning.
Simmer for 10 minutes.
Fry bread slices in oil.
Cut cheese into pieces.
Divide mince on bread slices and place cheese and tomatoes on top.
Grill at 250 ºC for three minutes or until cheese starts to melt.
Garnish with olives and herbs.
Serve with a salad.
