Instant mushroom sauce

    small onion, finely chopped
  • 15
    ml
    butter
  • 1
    packet mushroom soup powder
  • 580
    ml
    cold water
  • coarsely ground black pepper
  • 100
    ml
    seedless raisins (optional)
 

Method

 
Stir-fry the onion in heated butter until tender. Blend the soup powder and cold water and add to the onion along with the remaining ingredients. Stir until well blended and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat and simmer slowly until thick. Makes about 500 ml sauce.
